Amplifying Community Voices

Project Objective

  • Providing support to CBOs in mainstreaming child protection and gender issues into their existing body of work and in the process amplify voices within the community on issues of gender-based discrimination, violence and violations of child rights and child protection.
  • Achieving highest standards of cooperation among collaborating organizations, leading to deep institutionalization of values of partnership and commitment for community-led approaches to development that are visibilised before other geographies, contexts and donor organisations.

Description of the Project

Praajak has been implementing the project Amplifying Community Voices in conjunction with other 5 CBOs of South 24 Parganas as a collaborative initiative since 2019 in the Patharpratima Block of the Sunderbans. In this collectively implemented project, Praajak is working as a Resource Organization providing support to CBOs in mainstreaming child protection and gender issues into their existing body of work and in the process amplify voices within the community on issues of gender-based discrimination, violence and violations of child rights and child protection.
