Building Futures

Nurturing Potential, Inspiring Possibilities

At Praajak, we believe that every child, adolescent, and young person deserves to grow up in a safe, equitable, and nurturing environment. Through innovative programmes, community engagement, and leadership development, we work to prevent violence, challenge harmful gender norms, and create opportunities for young people to thrive.

Our work combines learning, participation, healing, and action—empowering individuals and communities to build a future rooted in dignity, inclusion, and equality.

What We Offer

Child Protection & Safeguarding

We work with children, families, institutions, and communities to prevent abuse, exploitation, neglect, and all forms of violence against children. Through awareness building, capacity strengthening, and community-based interventions, we create safer environments where children are protected, heard, and respected.

Sport for Development (Kabaddi)

Our Kabaddi programme goes beyond the game. Sports become a platform for learning teamwork, discipline, confidence, gender equity, and leadership. By creating inclusive sporting spaces, we help children and adolescents develop both physical and social-emotional skills while challenging stereotypes and building community connections.

Gender Learning Circles

Our Gender Learning Circles provide safe and engaging spaces where children, adolescents, and youth can reflect on gender, power, relationships, and social norms. Through interactive discussions, storytelling, games, and creative activities, participants develop empathy, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of gender equity and inclusion.

Psychosocial Support

Healing and wellbeing are at the heart of our work. We provide psychosocial support that helps children, adolescents, and survivors cope with adversity, build emotional strength, and develop positive support systems. Our approach promotes mental wellbeing, confidence, and a sense of belonging.

Life Skill Education

We equip young people with essential life skills that help them navigate challenges, make informed decisions, and build healthy relationships. Our sessions focus on communication, emotional intelligence, self-awareness, problem-solving, consent, leadership, and resilience—preparing young people for life beyond the classroom.

Youth Leadership Development

We believe young people are powerful agents of change. Through structured leadership programmes, mentorship, and experiential learning opportunities, we nurture confident, informed, and socially conscious young leaders who can influence positive change within their communities and beyond.

Community Engagement and Mobilisation

Sustainable change happens when communities come together. We work closely with parents, caregivers, educators, local leaders, and community groups to strengthen collective responsibility for child protection and gender equity. Through dialogues, campaigns, and participatory initiatives, we foster safer and more inclusive communities.

Research and Knowledge Building

We generate evidence that informs policy, practice, and public discourse on issues affecting children and young people. Through participatory research, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives, we amplify lived experiences and contribute to more informed and effective solutions.

Capacity Building and Training

We design and facilitate training programmes for educators, community workers, institutions, government stakeholders, and civil society organisations. Our trainings strengthen knowledge, skills, and practices related to child protection, safeguarding, gender equity, youth participation, and inclusive development.

Building Safer and Inclusive Futures

Everything we do is guided by our commitment to gender equity, celebration of diversity, and promotion of inclusion. Together with children, adolescents, youth, families, and communities, we are building a world where everyone can learn, lead, participate, and thrive with dignity.
