Kabaddi for Protection

Project Objective

To strengthen the physical, mental, social, and cultural development of adolescents through structured Gender and Kabaddi sessions. The project aims to build confidence, leadership, and life skills among girls and boys so that they can become agents of positive change within their families and communities. It also encourages children and adolescents to identify their own challenges and actively seek solutions through collective action and participation.

Project Locations

The project is currently being implemented in Ramganga Gram Panchayat under Patharpratima Block, South 24 Parganas, covering the following villages:

Future Plans and Vision

The project envisions creating empowered, confident, and socially responsible adolescents who actively promote gender equality, child protection, and community development. Future plans include expanding Kabaddi-based empowerment activities to more villages, strengthening youth leadership platforms, increasing girls’ participation in sports, and supporting youth-led social action initiatives to address child protection and gender-based violence.
